My friend and I went to dinner at this restaurant and the food was great. The staff was very nice and friendly, except for our waitress, Soir; she was quite terrible to me. Although my mother tongue is English, I understand French and speak a little. I usually feel more comfortable speaking in English, which has never been a problem in Aylmer because most people there speak both languages. Absolutely terrible to be honest. We like to support local businesses and are in desperate need of a good place in Aylmer, but L’autre Oeil falls short big time. Three times in a row now we are told a 30 minute wait for a table, then another 50 minute wait for our food. This last time, We decide to stay as we figure where else can we go after waiting all this time. After watching tables that arrived after us get service, we inquired about our food. It finally came after 65 minutes and was stone cold. All three plates appeared to be old food that was slapped together in the most forsaken way. I will start by saying that I honestly love to support local businesses.Went their for lunch and the service was just so atrocious it ruined the entire experience.There were maybe about 50+ customers with only 2 waiters/waitresses and 1 hostess. Got our appetizer before our drinks... never was offered a 2nd drink... had to flag waiter to place order for lunch.Once we were finished our lunch, our empty plates stayed at the table for 30+ minutes all the while trying to flag the waiter for the bill and were being ignored.Food was deliciousDrinks was delicious
We visited the Bistro L’Autre Oeil to celebrate my daughter turning 18. A nice sized bistro, complete with an outdoor patio, we decided to stay indoors as it was a little cool that day. A really nice place with great decor it has an amazing selection of beers on tap as well as a really good selection of cocktails and wine. Our servers throughout our visit were top notch as were the finger foods we ordered which included Nachos and Cheese Poppers. eating is terrible, couldn't both end plates, it was so bad. the bungalow was hard, the poutine sauce was mixed with a strange spicy, the BBQ wrap was cold and the guacamole did not fit in the burger at all. they have a wide choice of beer, but that's quite a lot. it is a beautiful looking terrace and it would be great if they could improve on their food.
The vibe at this bar was unbelievable. The atmosphere was just right and the staff were more than friendly. The drinks were on point and the selection was massive. I can’t wait to go drink on the patio next time. And my friend obviously loved his burger and fries.5/5 10/10 100/100
The dining experience was excellent. I ordered the poutine and it was outstanding. The service was also top-notch, as there was minimal wait time. Furthermore, they offer a wide variety of draft drinks.

This restaurant offers fantastic beer, food, music, and service. It has the best nachos in town and consistently provides excellent service. Théo, the server, is top-notch.
