Blonde, glasses, blank expression and zero cares about who 's there eventually on her 4th pass by me as I stood with menu in hand and my ID asked if I needed something ...Well yeah I guess... to order? Took an additional 5 7min for them to pour a glass of wine between the staffs conversations....legit gave a $20 for my for my $7 wine and my fiends $9 and the confusion was painful, I didn 't have to wait another 30 to tab out, literally.I use to love this place and recommend it... but after this confirmatio...
We dined here for dinner and found the service to be somewhat slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. We ordered the fish bites and chips, a small Caesar salad, and sticky toffee pudding. The fish bites lacked the crispy coating typically associated with beer-battered fish, and the chips were merely average. However, the tartar sauce had a nice flavor. The Caesar salad was served at room temperature, which was unusual. As for the sticky toffee pudding, it resembled a dry cake rather than the expected dessert, and the taste was just passable. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our meal.
We've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We visited on a Thursday night and it seemed like they were understaffed. No one acknowledged us when we walked in, and a sign instructed us to seat ourselves, which we did after one of the servers cleared a table. Our server did a fantastic job, considering there was a whole wall of tables in the main area near the bar. The food came out quickly, and both the fish and chips and the fish po' boy were excellent. The fries were also top-notch. I would definitely come back; it just seemed like it was an off night for them.
We drove over an hour just to have dinner here. Our experience started out great. The atmosphere is neat and our server was great. Our pretzels and beer cheese was really good but when it came to my dinner I was pretty disappointed. I ordered theshepherds pie and honestly it was terrible. It looks fantastic in the pictures but it was the most bland shepherds pie I haveever had. I had my husband try it and even he said that it needed seasoning. This is a fantastic bar with plenty of space and an outstanding selection of whiskey and scotch. The food is authentic and delicious, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and lively, with a polished feel. I highly recommend stopping by. They also offer flights, which are an excellent way to sample a range of whiskeys at a very reasonable price.
Oh man, do I love this place. The food is always good and the atmosphere is fantastic. I had the shepherd's pie and my friend had the bangers mash, both of which left us stuffed and satisfied. The beer was pretty darn great too. We had the pretzels andbeer cheese but I forgot to take a picture before we ate it all. It came out fresh and hot and delicious. 13/12, I'd recommend.????????
The food was excellent, but the drinks were disappointing; they tasted like Alka Seltzer. I can't recall the name of the yellow drink. I requested no bacon on my sandwich, but it was served with bacon regardless. The fries didn’t look very appetizing, but they turned out to be delicious. The bartenders provided great service, though.
This is definitely the BEST bar in Knoxville. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help, the music sessions are fantastic (featuring Irish, Scottish, Bluegrass, and Old-time genres), and they have virtually any beer, wine, or spirit you could wish for! Absolutely fantastic! They have an impressive selection of Scotch, and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly. Even the snacks are tasty; they really put in the effort. I will definitely be returning for another visit!
