Dropped in here today for lunch despite advice from a friend about a bad experience he had not long after the place opened. I thought it was worth trying as the menu looked ok with some options for me .. I am vegetarian.Very sorry to say it was a pretty disappointing meal. I had the spicy Captain burger - the bun was one of those very airy things you buy from Woolies, there was a slice of plastic orange cheese that they probably buy in bulk, a nondescript pattie obviously also bought in bulk... frozen and heated up. Went in for some lunch as I had been meaning to try them for some time but never seemed to get the chance......until now. It was quite busy when I walked in but found myself a table and looked through the menu. A decent variety on offer and all priced reasonably. I went for the fried chicken burger with a side of cheesy fries and drink which came to roughly $21. As you can see in the photo the burger was a decent size and a good serving of fries. Didn't have to wait too long for the food to reach me, which was appreciated as I was quite hungry. The atmosphere was busy but I didn't feel rushed even though there were people waiting for a table. Overall good value.
Took my family here by default as another site close by was shut, and oh a sensational place to be.The brunch, we had, pancakes with bacon and eggs Benedict, and it was hot all the way through. I was amazed and astounded as this is not usually the case in most hot meals, usually something is luke warm to cold. Also eggs and bacon on toast, and pancakes with fresh fruit. All was magnificent, seriously beautiful.The coffee was to die for as I'm told the hot chocolate. Could not recommend this place more, we'll certainly be back.Service was outstanding.
Friday night and thought we'd give them one away. the first time we eat from here. ordered a take away and got home to have an absolutely excellent burger and great pommes. brown burgers should be very proud of her eating. also very polite and attentive young ladies behind the theke. we will be regular.

Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum!!!! Delish! I really enjoyed the Southern style chicken burger along with aioli and bacon loaded fries. I was a little put off by the price but my belly said it was worth the 22. It was a little on the side. Go and support these folk
Since my first review my wife and i as well as friends have popped in here for drinks and snacks and they have definitely quitened the space down and improved the whole experience. We can now highly recommend this Cafe as a place to eat at in Moonah.
Drop in for a sunday morning coffee and egg and bacon muffin we we sat down at a table the salt and pepper sugar jars were covered in dust and food scraps we covered the jars with paper towel drunk the coffee and got out of there never again
Breakfast was a delight at this place, clean and a very pleasant manager who went out of his way to please, meals were a reasonable price and there were gluten free options for people who suffer from cealiac . Will definitely go here again

the menu was good, but not extensive, small wine list also. the temperature was also a bit cool and when we asked for more wein, they had to get another person to serve us. the food and the wine were in order.
We just had burgers in this restaurant yes its good burgers but its bit pricey and it will be good if they throw some greens with it and fries for the price and not extra charge.
