The server appeared uninterested in his job and our party of 5. One person got there early, said we would prefer a table, server sat her in a booth left and didn't come back. Hostess took us to dining room where we stood quite some time waiting for server. One of us went to find him to get a table instead of the booth. Justin spoke so quietly he was hard to understand, he didn't check on us, he didn't give us bread the first time we asked and then eventually brought the garlic bread. Buca di Beppo is a reliable standard when we have a larger-than-just-our-family group for a celebration. Each time we eat there is a little different based on where we are seated. Sure, the food isn't 5-Star quality but it is filling and tasty. The manager comped my son a dessert to congratulate him on graduating the Detroit Fire Academy earlier in the day. We'd never ordered dessert before because we're usually too full. I highly recommend the experience. The brownie sundae was not only delicious but FUN! So take home more leftovers and leave room for dessert.
I received some gift cards from work and decided to take a few friends out to eat. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t bring out all of our order. The food was only mediocre at best. I doubt I would return and spend my own money here.
The service here is excellent, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t match up. This restaurant used to be amazing, but the quality of the food has really declined. I feel bad mentioning this since our server was fantastic.

We waited for 3 hours to not get our food. We canceled our order and left without eating. The table next to us waited 2 hours before they canceled their order.
Good food, great service — we had a large group and the ability to share dishes makes it such a great place for a large group.
The food here is incredible! I would visit this place every day if I had the chance. Absolutely delicious!
Perhaps we came when is was not busy but nevertheless the overall experience was perfect

I just didn't care for the food. Service and ambiance was nice. Food not too good.
Our server, Katie, was great. Food was great. We loved our table in the grotto.
