I have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Byron Burger in Manchester ever since I first visited their branch in Wardour Street in Soho. I have been to a few different locations in and around London, and have even seen their van at festivals. Now, there is one closer to me. The decor is quite simple and industrial, with no need for excessive plaster or paint on the walls. I already knew what I wanted to order from the menu - a root beer float to drink. My ‘Chilli’ burger was the best by far. Topped with green chilli, American cheese, iceberg and chipotle mayonnaise. It did have a nice kick but i’d have liked a little more green chilli on there, I will be asking for it next time. The chipotle mayo was nice but didn’t pack enough punch for me so I added some extra chilli sauce. I’d asked for this burger ‘Medium Rare’ and it was absolutely perfectly cooked.
yes, byron burger is a large chain with restaurants around the country, but what? they know how to make a good burger and that is exactly what I wanted – a good unpredictable burger that is not too hard on my pockets.
