Menerbes : un village perché avec quelques restaurants aux menus et prix similaires. Nous jetons notre dévolu sur ce petit restaurant à priori plus authentique que d'autres. Vue agréable mais nous nous retirons de la terrasse vu la chaleur sous les parasols et la non-propreté du lieu. La carte affichée dehors est différente de la carte intérieure. La patronne m'explique vertement que cela dépend des arrivages et qu'elle a autre chose à faire que de l'actualiser chaque jour. Point de rougets donc. Nous optons pour le thon. Not worth the two hour wait for our starters. 45 minutes be asked for our drinks . However good the view is ! Not enough staff and food was cold. Only got our first course when we asked for the bill because we had been...waiting 2hrs and not had even some bread Main course I had monkfish which was cold others had tuna both covered in sweet and sour sauce so could have been anything . Steaks tough and cold . Chef was either a temporary or needs replacing. Sorry but worst meal I have had it years. Come for a morning coffee and leave before any food in being offered. Cet endroit est superbe, mais c'est comme tout il faut être curieux. la terrasse est au bout du tunnel. La terrasse est superbe, la vue incroyable. Le cuissot italien est excellent, il cuisine le poisson comme personne. Plats traditionnels d'excellente qualité. Pas à la mode, pas moderne, mais qualitatif et juste. Impossible de ne pas parler des patrons très agréables et sympas. Le café au comptoir est un passage obligatoire des 7h le matins avec les habitués.

Set in a beautiful village with views to die for, this is picture perfect Provence at it's best. The food was delicious and the ambience was calm and extremely friendly. The pièce de résistance was the outstanding view, stretching out as far as the eye...could see, so make sure you book a table outside. Oh, and I forgot to say that it was really good value too!
Everything was good. The food, the view spectacular and the company. We were three persons for lunch. One took octopus, the other two a gnocchi with spinich and prosciutto. To this we drank a local rose wine (we could actually see the wine...yards from our table). Panna cotta was a most delicious 'final '.
What looks like a simple Tabac and bar at the front opens up into a magnificent terrace at the rear. Quite superb local food - simple but utterly delicious.Absolutely worth a visit. A glass of rose as the sun sets makes for a memorable evening.

Excellent food paired with great ambiance and views (if you get a seat on the patio! , combined with very good service. One of the best meals we had in Provence...and we ate often! Good value.
