Caffe Buongiorno Mitcham

Two of us lunched here on a Sunday and although our reservation had been made days in advance, we were ushered to a table for 2 in a pokey little corner where newspapers were strewn on the floor as well in pockets along the wall and a dirty coffee cup and saucer remained from the previous customer. Impossible to enjoy a meal under such circumstances and there were several tables elsewhere which were not showing reserved signs. I've been here a few times, partly because of convenience and partly because it fairly speedy, reasonably priced and the food is adequate.This recent visit was no different to the others as it had a serving system and a regular menu.My Calzone Rustico seemed a little smaller than usual but it was ok. No complaints, other than the waiter tried to take my plate away before I finished my meal!The system was too efficient again when we went to the bar to order another drink and our glasses of water were cleared away. They did bring a new bottle and glasses when we pointed it out.The food was not as good as my recent visit to their restaurant in O'Halloran Hill, but it was ok.And they both suffer...

I ordered the new pasta on the pasta menu with white sauce, chicken, avocado, mushroom. I was disappointed to see that the plate was mostly pasta with ingredients that were scarce. It was sprinkled with parsley to look presentable. There was almost no avocado to be seen and it was the main reason i ordered the dish. The mushroom was thinly sliced and spread out on the plate and chicken was cut into tiny squares. No parmesan in sight. (Approx $26) Didnt get any bang for my buck, i wouldnt even pay $5 for the meal i ordered. I wouldn't bother coming here again. Your best bet is pasta go go. Quality service. Quality pasta.

We are Adelaide ex-pats living in the UK. When we return to visit, Caffe Buongionro's in Mitcham is always at the top of our 'must eat' list. Before leaving Adelaide, Cafe Buongiorno was our regular weekday favourite, usually ordering the same delicious pasta meals each time. What's best, the servings are so big that we usually take what we don't finish away for the next day's lunch.Sure, it's doesn't really have an 'authentic Italian' vibe, is out of town and might not be the fancies place going, but the food is absolutely DELICIOUS. This is our local and we have given it a go many times. Each time the service gets a little bit more ordinary and we are let down. We used to come with our kids regularly. Now they are inflexible with kids preferences of spaghetti sauces, the service is quite rude and it has become more of a pre-made fast version. Nothing at all like the Norwood version where service, quality and the aim to please are all top priorities. Such a shame!

My wife and i came here for a relaxed meal one night. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Huge range of pastas, pizzas and other meal options. Very relaxed cafe atmosphere inside. The gelati is great too. I had a slice of a banana caramel pie/tart after dinner which was nice but was not as rich and full of flavour as i was expecting. I suspect it had been in the window for a few days.

Ci ha portato un amico che vive in Adelaide, lui ci viene da trent'anni ed è il suo punto di riferimento, molti emigrati italiani qui si trovano per un caffè ( molto buono) o per un bicchiere di vino , ho visto molte persone mangiare pasta, pizza ed insalate.

Great coffee and service but when it comes to food some days are good with generous servings other times not so good, for the price they charge for the meals it should be great all the time!! I think it's time to change the tables and chairs? Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Very happy with our food. Cooked to our liking. Everyone was happy with their meal. Tasted great, nice dressing on salads. Would go again.

Absolutely delicious food with fast friendly service. Pizza was tasty and the price reasonable. Very accommodation polite staff
