Placed an order, which was quoted to arrive around an hour after order. It didn 't arrive. I called Carmelo 's after an hour no pizza. The reply was less than satisfying: 'We 're really busy. Your pizza is leaving soon. Sorry but the delivery is a free service we 're busy. That happens. We 're really busy. ' I told the guy to cancel the order. The place is 5 minutes drive up the road! When I asked for a return of my money because the pizza hadn 't arrived: 'We can 't do that because it 's a free delivery. [what? Yeah, but I 'd paid for a pizza that did not arrive! . This Italian pizzeria offers a delicious thin crust pizza with unique toppings. The lamb and potato combination may sound unusual, but it surprisingly works well. The Aussie pizza is perfectly salty, a pleasant surprise. The food is tasty and good value for money, with quick service even during busy times. The staff are friendly and attentive. Overall, a great option for a new local pizzeria, definitely worth recommending. And leftovers would be fantastic when reheated the next day or enjoyed after a relaxing evening.
Best pizza place ATM! Ive never written a review but I strongly encourage everyone to try this place.I’ve been lucky enough to order one time from these guys and I’m absolutely addicted! The pizza dough is delicious and I love the fact that even when I order a large pizza it doesn’t even fit properly in the box but they don’t make it smaller. I like that it always comes in odd shapes which just says it was handmade. it is a simple pizza with the right amount of toppings and the perfect balance. Well done guys!

Carmelo’s pizza in east brunswick believes it’s ok to advertise a two large pizza meal deal; say that there’s a $3 surcharge for gluten free yet then not stick to deal when it comes time to pay. Instead one gets a medium gf and a large for $32.50; and when it finally arrives it looks like this. When one makes a comment about it; we were told to not come back again... absolutely shocking customer service and below par pizza ... not wasting my money here again
I've liked Carmelo's the last 5 yrs I've lived in Northcote, but I had big issues with a delivery guy who refused to come past the apartment complex entrance and was full of ****. He's gone thank god and I've started reordering last year or so, great pizza, clearly woodfired and very good base, don't normally order salmon pizza as it's hard to do properly but damned good here
The pizzas at this restaurant are incredibly fresh and delicious, all at an affordable price. The dough is just right, and there is a generous amount of cheese and sauce on the Margherita pizza. It's a fantastic local pizza place, and I can't wait to also try their pastas.
Can compare it to the best in Sorrento, Florence and Rome for taste. Good value. Two large takeaway pizzas traditional flavour 19.90. We ate in and chose gourmet flavours. Yummo. Staff friendly, quick service, generous glass of wine. Highly recommended.

Their pizzas are truly amazing for the price. The dough is excellent and the ingredients taste wonderfully fresh and authentic. Normally at this price point, I can only expect to find shredded ham on my pizza.
Carmelo’s is not just amazing food but the customer service is A1 very welcoming and friendly staff adding to the experience. It’s a must visit if in the area for great food and quality people
