We visited here twice on our recent Melbourne visit. First time just for coffee and a light breakfast. Their coffee was spot on for what I wanted that day hot, beautifully but mildly flavoured. My g f toast and jam was good too decent g f bread. Second visit was a family brunch, sitting in the back courtyard. My tofu and cucumber special was different and tasty, but best of all was their delicious home made iced tea which was so beautifully balanced in flavour with just the right touch of sweetness. Why do not more cafes particularly in summer make iced teas? The service was friendly, and timely, despite their busyness.
What a gem of a cafe is Carolina with its unobtrusive, way-in-the-background music, tasty eggs, hot coffee and friendly service. Elegant gold lettering retained in the front window declares the building’s former life as a fine Italian shoe shop and along with the atmospheric interior, speaks to its new proprietors’ regard for what came before.
All I can say is I am SO lucky to have this as my local spot! We’re only a two minute walk from Carolina and having gone their once or twice a week for the past six months, it’s fair to say I have tried everything on the menu (more than once! and everything is delicious. The staff are all lovely and accommodating
We happened upon this restaurant in Brunswick and were pleasantly surprised by its unique setup in a former shoe store. The staff was friendly, the menu was great, and the coffee was excellent. When our food arrived, it was delicious. Melbourne is fortunate to have such high-quality dining options.

This restaurant is fantastic as a cafe and even better as a bar. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, especially in the cozy courtyard. The bar staff are exceptional. I would recommend this place for relaxed drinks, romantic dates, and friendly get-togethers. A+ rating.

My favourite cafe in Brunswick and the perfect place to write my book on a Saturday afternoon. Great coffee, delicious food, and heart warming smiles from all the staff. Don't ever change!
