This is an old school local coffee shop/diner, and the good news is, they serve breakfast all day long here. Their omelets come in two sizes, half order (3 egg version), and a full order (6 egg version), with lots and lots of hash browns and a side of toast. At first I thought $17,00 or so for a half order and $21.00 for a full order was a bit steep, but in reality, it 's a bargain. These things are HUGE, and the odds are most likely you will be taking some of this home for a later meal. The full omelette It so ridiculous HUGE, you will feel like you are involved in a food eating challenge (it 's important to know, they frown on sharing/splitting these offerings). The good: the portion sizes are enormous and the price is reasonable, the staff was friendly and fast, It has a good diner atmosphere. The bad: (we had breakfast) and the hash browns on everyone's plates were pretty mushy and unseasoned, the country fried steaks' breading was also very soft and undercooked, The bacon and cheese omelette was pretty much a bacon Taco with a light wrapping of eggs and just a little bit of cheese (photo). The food overall didn't WOW anybody. We wished we had tried another dinner.
With all of the hype, I can’t believe how disgusting this place was. We sat at wobbly tables that were completely sticky, and my shoes stuck to the carpet at my seat. All I couldn’t help but notice was the dirt covering the baseboards and the white walls. The vents above the counter are covered in dust. Even with the food being alright, I had no appetite being in such a dirty environment. I would hope that there is a better cleaning routine than that.
I can only describe my experience here as weird. Weird “biscuit” in the biscuits and gravy. The oddest flavor and texture. French toast had an off cupboard stale taste I couldn’t ignore. Edible though. I just couldn’t get the biscuits down. Sausage breakfast sandwich had a decent flavor but for $9.50 it was quite tiny. Great old school diner place to get good food and good service. Nothing fancy which I like. The staff is friendly and service is good. Very popular place so the wait can be long on the weekends. I highly recommend the giant cinnamon roll. You won't be disappointed.
Amazing breakfast with amazing service and price. A traditional diner that people easily fall in love with. Go hungry since they serve big portions. Keep up the great work!
