We stopped in after a concert and walking by around at night the place was very busy. The waiter came to us and promised to get us seated. A couple of minutes later, we were at a very comfortable table. My spouse saw a...plate that appealed to her at the table next to us and she asked the waiter what it was. ... seafood rice. We asked for that and for The waiter promised also that he will take care of the wine. When he returned, his wine selection was spot on. Then we received each a very good salad, a bowl of succulent olives, and a basket of portuguese bread. Then the seafood rice dish happened . Rice in a tasty seafood broth loaded with: scallops shrimps oysters clams mussels squid calama...

Upon arriving in the city late in the evening, we strolled down the vibrant pedestrian-only Boulevard Saint-Laurent in search of a place to dine. The lively atmosphere at Casa Minhota caught our attention, prompting us to take a chance on dinner despite our unfamiliarity with Portuguese cuisine. Clearly a popular spot among locals, the restaurant was bustling with cheerful conversations and numerous large family gatherings. We even witnessed the waitstaff bringing out a large chocolate cake with sparklers on multiple occasions, accompanied by the singing of the birthday song several times throughout the evening. Nevertheless, we were able to secure a cozy table in a quieter corner of the spa...

Casa minhota has been our favorite restaurant for over two decades. Services and food has always exceed our expections. Over the last few years they have gone beyond and above in delivering the best Portuguese experience ever. From Darcy, Joe , Steve many others excellent...staff we higly recommend a visit, a must to eat in Montreal.

They have many dishes and the price is not that expensive. I found the food is a bit salty to my taste BUT since we cannot travel to Portugal at this time, the best Portuguese comfort food I can get is here!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

You almost feel you're in Portugal. The service and the food are very good and price is reasonable. Try they arrozo de marisco rice with seafood). It is really good.

Very good authentic Portuguese cuisine. Enjoyed our meals but may be slightly pricey (it was an anniversary so we gave gifts and host paid the plate)....
