Catering by Michaels exceeded our expectations for back-to-back events in the same weekend, one casual and the other formal. We worked with two different event coordinators (Moriah and Megan) due to the style, menu offerings, price point of each event; both were attentive to detail, clear communicators, and collaborated well with our other vendors (venue, decor, planner, etc). We worked with Moriah at Catering By Michaels for our wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory last month. When looking at the Chicago parks district approved vendors, my husband and I decided we also wanted to work with vendors that are community and sustainability minded. Catering By Michaels is also a vendor with the Green Wedding Alliance, which we used as an additional resource to find vendors who are committed to environmentally sustainable practices. I cannot recommend Catering by Michaels highly enough! From our first interaction with Stacey for our wedding, she was incredibly responsive, enthusiastic, and brimming with fantastic ideas. Her attention to detail is remarkable, and she was proactive in scheduling tastings and confirming menus. Whenever I brought up an idea or request, her response was always, "We can make that happen!" I never imagined that working with a caterer for our wedding could be so enjoyable. The best part is that we got married two months ago, and our guests are still raving about the food. A few months before the wedding, we had a tasting, which was a delightful experience that eased our minds about the event. The tasting truly showcased how things would unfold on our wedding day, and they delivered exactly what they promised: outstanding food and customer service.
Everything about the catering on our wedding day went flawlessly. Every team member was professional and in high spirits, tables were served promptly with warm dishes, and, most importantly, all the food was incredibly delicious and satisfying.

For our wedding in July 2023, we opted for Catering by Michaels, and we couldn't have been happier with the food, service, and professionalism of the entire team! Moriah helped us craft a menu that truly reflected our tastes, and she exceeded our expectations by customizing their bar package to highlight our love for local craft beer. With her extensive experience in the wedding industry, Moriah managed every detail, allowing us to focus on each other on our special day. Catering by Michaels was hands down the best choice we made for our wedding. Our coordinator, Moriah, took us through every stage of planning our day and delivered with extreme attention to detail and efficiency. She was fantastic to work with. And the crew! Every server and bar tender was thoughtful, excited and attentive to me, my husband and our guests. Our food was SO good. “Wedding food” gets a bad rap, but the meals and appetizers we served our guests were anything but! All our food was truly so fresh, hot and delicious. I cannot recommend Catering by Michaels enough!!
We were extremely pleased with our event hosted by Catering by Michael's. We held our summer company picnic at a forest preserve bunker and opted for the traditional American BBQ package. They also set up the volleyball net for us. The team arrived on time, efficiently set everything up, cooked, served, cleaned up, and were a joy to work with. Our project coordinator, Shannon, stopped by to ensure everything was going smoothly. The food was outstanding, with many compliments on the chicken and veggie burgers. We will definitely consider them for our future events.
We hired Catering by Materials for our wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with the food, drinks, service, and overall organization! Stacey was fantastic to work with—she is detail-oriented, considerate, and easy to communicate with. I always order delivery from Catering by Michaels for the holidays I host at home. They consistently create impressive menus, and the food is fantastic. Most importantly, it takes a huge weight off my shoulders to have everything delivered, allowing me to avoid the stress of cooking in the kitchen.
Polite, pleasant staff. The event was at Dania Furniture and the menu was Scandinavian foods and mini desserts. Very well done.
