I hate to say it, but Chang Chun has gone downhill. I write this after giving them three more tries than I should have. It was great before the pandemic, but since reopening in a strictly takeout capacity the quality of the food and consistency in the way it's cooked has drastically declined. The pork-fried rice was partially cooked (crunchy) and tasted old, the chicken fingers tasted like they were cooked in oil that needed to be changed 6 months ago, and the beef teriyaki was fatty and had a slimy coating that tasted a little bitter. Everything was just off. My son even woke up this morning feeling sick. It hurts to write this review because of all the good meals we've had over the years,...
It was love at first sight! And the sight I'm talking about is the dark brown pork fried rice done the classic old school way with no peas or carrots. It's hard to find a place that does it this way. Before I go on, I must confess I'm not big into Chinese food. I only eat the rice, crab rangoons and egg rolls. This place does all 3 of these just the way I like them with the rangoons lightly fried and the egg rolls crispy, crunchy and flavorful. And of course they have the brown duck sauce, which I prefer over the orange kind. If you like authentic old school Chinese food, give this place a try!

Wow, well actually I ordered off your website and it was very easy ! Thank you, Chang Chun ! And then when I got home, I was so happy ! Definitely made the right choice. : new line Long day at work, little tiny bit of research, and a very enjoyable dinner ! Even the leftover is the next day we're incredible ! My vote of confidence, thank you again Chang Chun, I will be stopping in again
They are lucky you cannot give less then 1 star. Perhaps the worst Chinese food in all of North America. If there was a trophy for that they would win it. Food tasted spoiled which leads me to believe on a Thursday night they are using leftovers from who knows when. I should have known when I saw a cockroach climbing on the wall as I left with my takeout that this was not going to end well. Stay away you can find better options .
Everything was delicious ! I will be returning soon with a bigger appetite : I posted a photo to show the portion size. That was a dinner special. I asked to switch out the pork strips with crab Rangoon and they did it no problem. The interior needs work but the food and service made up for it. I would suggest to not sit in a booth if someone will be sitting behind you. The back moved on me every time the table behind me moved.
Haven't had Chinese food for a long time, so I was happy to see they were open at least for take-out. My excitement waned when I tasted their fried rice. It had a terrible under taste of either being old or a burnt flavor. The chicken fingers and ribs were good, but without good rice the meal was ruined.
Open your damn dining room and bar it's 4 years since Covid no excuse. Haven't bothered with this place since it became take out only. Formerly the only place I would get Chinese food.
If you're fortunate enough they answer the phone you're lucky. If you're unfortunate enough to get their food. you're unlucky.
I miss eating in at Chang Chun. Dining in closed down since Covid BS. They were doing take out only.
