Chao Phraya - Tisch resevieren

Thai cuisine is my favorite. For nearly four decades I have frequented dozens, probably hundreds, of Thai restaurants at all levels, from the simplest to pretty darn fancy. Never in my 68 years on this planet have I paid, in a relatively normal neighborhood Thai eatery, $90 for two main courses, two beers, and 3 portions of rice. I had to experience this in Montreal, in the country of my birth, on a visit Chao Phraya for this rapina a mano armata. A half-cup of boiled rice for $4. A Singha for $9. Never -- not in Paris, not in New York, not in London, not in Berlin -- have I ever encountered such scandalously outrageous prices in an establishment of this quality. if you are looking to satisfy your taste buds this is a great place to visit and dine. make sure to reserve so you can get seated and served. if you go during the busy times, the service might be slow. the supporting waiter to provide you with refill is great. they do pay attention. however, if you wanted to order more or get your check at the end of the meal, you needed to try harder to flag down your waitress. but all these will be forgotten because the food is just delicious.

It's all in the title, it's unfortunate to see the decline of a good restaurant. Used to frequenting this restaurant more than once a month, I was able to see the development. The cooking is now less constant than before, on the other hand the prices undergo a constant increase well above inflation, as if the owners wanted to compensate the decrease of the clientele by higher prices, rarely a good recipe. These factors led me to space out my visits ... too bad

I arrived to find a sign on the door stating that the restaurant was bankrupt and closed. It would have been helpful if Open Table had stopped taking reservations for a business that's no longer open. I wasted an hour driving and searching for parking, and it really put a damper on our family birthday celebration. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Tried and true food such as the shrimp appetizer and the chicken in peanut sauce with fried spinach remain favorites. The pork in garlic and ginger was a bit tougher than anticipated and the quality of the sticky rice has changed.

The restaurant is closed and out of business! It's a shame that you still have it listed. We wasted our time trying to go there and ended up walking to MEI Café instead, which was excellent.

Tried their deep fried tofu in red coconut curry and it did not taste that great.
