Love the area and have walked up to Chez Gaston several times over the years. This time it was high season and a Sunday so a lot of dishes were unavailable when they finally came to take our order. I had the salad savoyarde in the end but was very disappointed as the portions were tiny! 1 slice of the smoked savoyarde ham, few minute cubes if beaufort, 1egg cut in slices, few lettuce leaves and few walnuts all for €14.50. I came hungry and would have left hungry if it wasn't for the dessert. The coupe Mont Blanc was however lovely but again pricey at €8.50. it is a great place on horseback on two departments, we eat very well, the staff is very friendly, to crown a whole unbeatable view on the massif of the white mountain, and on the other side the massif of the Beaufortain, that of the boheur
friendly reception a magnificent reasonable view for an altitude restaurant café. the terrace with the decks is at the top especially after 2 hours of climbing on foot. I'll be back.
