Big score from me! I can be a hard audience but this one gets the 4 because it looks cheap & cheerful, but, but, but the chicken satay noodles were lovely. Surprisingly cooked to order, perfectly spiced and lots of crunchy veg, $12.95 a dish it's a bargain. Heaps of dining space and a junky milkshake collection that's crazy. Cheesecake milkshake as an example and I'm waiting to be roped in by mini me to drink the sugar explosion up a straw whilst dodging the halo of fairy floss at the sides. What a find. Was craving pizza, but my husband convinced me to give this place a go.I so regret not choosing the pizza. The pho was truly terrible, a few bits of overlooked beef, lots of noodles (all clumped) and zero garnishes.I ended up giving it to my husband to eat and made a toasted sandwich instead.We phoned and checked they had not made a mistake. Apparently that's how their "Pho" comes.Other meals we saw people ordered looked OK, but nothing that stood out. To be fair we did find the prawn roll entree were passable.I can make far better Vietnamese, which is so disappointing.Eat elsewhere, or a least avoid the "Pho". Glenorchy needs more decent variety for takeout, but we won't be giving these guy...
Light and airy and the food was tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately the lady serving had no personality and the service for our meals was slow, with wife's salt and pepper calimari coming out 5 minutes before my sweet and sour chicken combo.Prices ok and iced drinks looked amazing. Shame, because I didn't mind the decor and plenty of choices on the menu.
We were hoping for much from Chikko unfortunately is was not all good news. Starters of spring rolls and goi cuon were tasty so our expectations of the pho were high, the soup smelled fragrant and delicious when it arrived but flavour did not live up to the aroma, also no bean sprouts or herbs came with it. Wonderful authentic Vietnamese food. We ordered takeaway and tried the Pho Bo and Flat Noodle dish with chicken. We also ordered Chikko Special Fried Rice but couldn't fit it in but it looks fantastic.Very reasonably priced and located out of the city but definitely worth taking the trip to try the food. Yum!
This is an iced drink wonderland with some great prices meals as well. My kids consider it a major treat to visit and will behave so that they can earn the chance to have a Chikko iced drink treat! I also noticed that there were specials for kids meals on certain days of the week.
Paid $5 for 5 tiny wontons that were way overcooked. The service was slow, despite the place being nearly empty, and we had to ask to receive the juice that was meant to be part of the 'meal'. I won't be back.
Hiding out in a weird industrial kinda spot in Derwent Park is a casual Vietnamese cafe with--the most important part, IMHO--a selection of banh mi on the Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This place had great food and good coffee. The chicken roti wrap is amazing. Sticky pork and the salt and pepper calamari was great. Good price as well.
