Lark Cellar Door and Whisky Bar

This was on our must do list but we were stretched for time. Luckily we were able to get one tasting in before a scheduled dinner. The guy doing the tasting was really friendly and patient whilst we asked questions and deciding what to sample. The tasting cost $20 odd and we got 3 whiskeys to sample. We really liked the quality and I'm not surprised my favourite was over $200 a bottle. Unfortunately they didn't have the cheaper one in stock so we left empty handed. Nice experience though. Place has a really nice feel to it and is in the city, so not far from everything else. Will definitely return.

This was a very cute place to sit and taste the gins that they had on offer amongst many other drinks and so we had the gin tasting trioIt would have been good to have known which one was which though as it was not so easy to distinguish between them They close at 19:00 as well which is far too early as they had quite a few customers in the place who all had to leave instead of staying and buying more drinks A good visit here though

We stayed just down the road and on our first afternoon walk chanced upon the Lark. The produce whisky and Gin and supply a range of wine and beer. All of which we found most enjoyable. I favoured the gin and tonic [which had local pepper berries added] while my companions were keen to try the many varieties of whisky.Great spot for a nightcap on the way back from dining out at Salamanca.

Took some visiting interstate friends to this cozy and intimate whiskey bar. To say they were excited by the selections of whiskeys and gins would be an understatement. One could spend quite some time in this relaxing atmosphere tasting some of the best whiskeys Tasmania has to offer, both local and international varieties . Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Lovely little whiskey bar where you can order flights of different whiskies but since I don't drink it they had a fabulous Forty Spotted Gin with the flavour of native Tasmanian Pepperberries. It was great and we dropped in there for a pre dinner drink on each of the 3 nights we were in Hobart

So many choices… So little time … The whisky here is great. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Come here to relax or socialise or even taste the goods!

More of a cross between a cocktail bar and a pub. Superb atmosphere, food and drink of the highest standard. Relaxing, friendly, and very very sociable.

I love Larks! That Slainte is magnificent! Taking a bottle home! The gin and tonic is also great! Might have to take a bottle of that home too!
