I ordered takeout from this restaurant. The fried rice was simply rice with soy sauce, no vegetables included. The egg rolls and spring rolls contained only lettuce, lacking other ingredients. The fried dumplings were the standout item, flavorful and enjoyable. The chicken chow mein appeared appetizing, but lacked taste. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I do not plan to return. I ordered dumplings and asked if there was dipping sauce, the gentleman said yes, but when I got home there was no sauce. Make sure you check you order before you leave. The Chinese cuisine at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. When I called to place our order yesterday, the person who answered was very polite and didn't rush me to order. She even provided me with an estimated pick-up time and the total cost of my order without me having to ask. The ambiance of the restaurant was just as I remembered it.
In my opinion, the best place to get Chinese food in this area is China Express. The food is consistently delicious and the staff are very friendly, even when they are busy. We always get takeout from here (I don't think they have reopened for dining in since Covid). Our favorite dishes are the hot and sour soup and the dumplings.
The food was average and the restaurant uses an answering service to take orders, which incorrectly states that the wait time is an hour. My food had already been waiting for 20 minutes when I arrived, which was disappointing. Overall rating: Food - 2, Service - 2.
