I recently wrote a review about an authentic Chinese Restaurant in McQuarrie Street which was filled with satisfied Chinese diners. The restaurant is modern and minimalist in decore and produces lovely food.The Chinese Palace in Main Road Glenorchy is about 30 years old and is as neat and as clean as a whistle. The food we got was excellent and authentic Chinese but more reasonably priced than in the City. We have the Banquet for 2 and we are always impressed. This place is starting to show its age and could do with a refit and update so it is like going back in time.The food well the menu is extensive with a lot of dishes from different parts of China. The food was tasty and there was plenty on each plate. We both had a soup to start but they both tasted the same except one had won tons and the other had prawns so it would be fair to say they use the same base.the Sichuan beef was not as hot as I would have liked (spicy) but you could get some heat from it. This was recommended to us as a very good Chinese eatery however the day we were there our meals were not a good sample of Chinese food my combination chow was mainly veggies very little beef pork or chicken no seafood at all and the special fried rice was lacking everything as well ,left a bad taste .

Sehr schönes und leckeres Mittagessen für mich und meines Freundes, wir bestellten das Mittagessen mit dem Mittagessen (Entree, Main und Dessert ????), die für jede Person weniger als 15 US-Dollar. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich, um vom Mona Museum zum Mittagessen zu reisen.
Beste chinesische Takeout, die ich je in einer Weile hatte. Es ist jeden einzelnen Penny wert. Ich würde für Sekunden zurückkommen, wenn ich einen zweiten Magen habe. Insgesamt ein wirklich angenehmes Erlebnis trotz des etwas schäbigen Äußeren.
Sehr armes chinesisches Essen mit armem Land, chinesischem Essen mit schlechten Qualitätszutaten. Bland mit einer Hauptstadt B, leider. Der kühle zerzauste 70er-Stil-Stil mitnehmen Eingang könnte jedoch ein Foto wert sein.
Simply the worst Chinese I have ever been served it was inedible. I would not recommend this place the meat was gross and could not be cut it was that fatty. Sauce had a foul taste and the rice tasted metallic.

Food was very good and up to the same standard as Chinese Restaurants in Brisbane. I do not agree with some of the other reviews.
