Great experience! Found this on OpenTable and booked a table for dinner. Space is open and welcoming. However if seated near the back wall, tables are a bit drafty. Ordered a few beers to enjoy our conversation and had our server recommend some house specials. Halibut special on top of a bed of brocolini and a sweet potato puree that is out of this world! The special shrimp risotto disappointed, as we felt it lacked flavor from being overcooked. Aside from the grated cheese and creme fresh we had to dig to find the tiniest shrimp ever, I'm sure other entrees from Citrine Cafe would aim to please. There were 5 of us, the wife and I were late due to heavy traffic. When were arrived are party was seated, I'm glad they didn't make them wait until we got there. We started our meal with, shrimp and grits, baked feta and hummus, ivar and white bean puree. All were very good, but I especially liked the feta, it was served with a very good wheat bread. For my entree, I had the short ribs with pureed carrot and string beans. They gave me a steak knife, but the ribs could have been cut with a spoon. The beans were crunchy and a vibrant green. This place is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers are so flavorful! I recommend the octopus and the cauliflower, and the steak frites for the entre. The food portion sizes are large enough for you to feel full but not stuffed. Here’s the dessert menu since I ddnt see it posted on their site. Maybe the desserts change every now and then but hey, here it is. The lava cake is to die for and the sorbet is super fresh! You will not regret visiting Citrine!
This place is amazing! Everything from the kind service, the amazing and fast food preparation, to the beautiful and clean atmosphere! The manager and bar manager managed to squeeze us in a few seats at the bar, and really made it as special and enjoyable of an evening for my mothers birthday. Cocktails were fantastic, and their house made limoncello was so yummy! We will definitely be back!

Nice brunch place with a very lovely atmosphere. Got the crispy octopus, which tasted great. Would get it again as an appetizer vs an entree due to portion size. It was way smaller than expected, coulda given a few more potatoes or veggies I felt like. Left the restaurant still a bit hungry but overall would still come back to try other items on the menu.
Citrine located in Oak Park, has touches of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture photographs through out as well as hints of Ernest Hemming's wisdom Food was exquisite, service outstanding, wine selection extensive,the overall experience perfect! I recommend them and will return! Thank you to the owner and staff for making the experience memorable!!!
An absolutely lovely brunch with our attentive waiter. The beignets and cinnamon roll were such a nice treat to kick off brunch. I ordered the classic breakfast. Everything was delicious except for my toast which was extremely hard. That’s the only reason I gave 4/5 stars. Otherwise, a lively experience!
The servers are so knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. Parking easy. Atmosphere perfect. Great job of handling pandemic and social distancing. Also saw families with kids. Give it a try.
