I?m here to say that the ribs at City Barbecue in Park Ridge were Outstanding and definitely created by a pitBOSS. These ribs tasted great, nice rub; not to much brown sugar, seasonings worked well together. The smoke was perfect; notoverpowering; present with a great aftertaste. First time customer! My business partners and I decided to come here for a meeting and I'm so glad we did! I had their More Cowbell sandwich and it was full of flavor and even better with the BBQ sauce they had! Worst for delivery! Such a shame that a restaurant that has good food has such poor staff and management. Ordered delivery handfuls of times, and almost 90% of the time several items are always missing, including full kid meals that were paid for, sides, drinks. If you call in to mention this to staff, they are clueless and could careless, do nothing to compensate or reimburse. No one checks the orders to make sure they are complete going out correctly. Again, such a shame that the restaurant has to suffer because of an awful staff/management. Especially to Friday pm staff. Been here a few times, pork and brisket are good, sides and pie was good, for the first time shelled out $30 for a full slab or ribs, and I'm not 2 years old,, I don't need them cut for me, that sux, then i started eating them, why so much seasoning, the smoked flavor should be just enough. i ate about 6 ribs and that was all i could take. not sure who's putting a pound of seasoning on smoked ribs but, please go home for the day and let ppl that know what there doing season them. after that i was in the washroom lots and burping up ur seasoning all night and even some of the next day with only 6 ribs ate. other then the ribs this is a good place to get a good meal for a good price. just stay...

Really wanted this place to be good, Brisket was a day old, no flavor and dry, pulled pork was blah and ribs were decent at best. Chicken was surprisingly good though. As for the sides I got, the mac and cheese that had zero flavor and was probably aday old and the collard greens were dry. Cornbread was overcooked and dry as well. Peach cobbler for dessert was pretty good.
Sampler. 3 ribs were tender with a nice Smokey taste, but meat was sparse and too fatty. Pork loin was very long, stringy, dry. Optional sauce side tasted like it came from a can. Bread was tasteless. Cole slaw was bland like the whole meal. Cost; $17before tax. Back to Chipotle pork burrito bowl for me.
Everyone loved the brisket sandwich pack. Fed 7 teenagers with leftovers. It was ready on time. Pickup was a little chaotic but what good bbq spot isn't a little crazy. Just be patient when you walk in if its busy and they will get to you.
Ordered curbside pickup through their app but had to go inside anyway. Item missing from my order, but at least I wasn't charged for it. Ordered 4 ribs as a side. Got the smallest, least tender ribs of the slab.

The best BBQ I have had, good coleslaw and potato salad , OK hush puppies. Love this place. The owner puts his heart into the food and it is excellent.
Great brisket and friendly staff. Quick and pleasant service. I would recommend and plan on coming back
