For my birthday this September, I really wanted a cooked salami grinder from CT. My parents, who live about 2 hours away from me in CT, said if you want a grinder, we gotta go to CJs . I called CJ 's and Nick answered the phone. I explained I live about 2 hours away and asked if there was any way they could prepare a grinder so it 'd still be fresh. He replied, no problem, we do this all the time . They gave me a perfectly packaged deconstructed grinder and explained how to assemble it and heat it up. Wonderful local spot! Service is wonderful. The folks in the kitchen keep cranking it out. The line goes out the door constantly. There is plenty of parking in the plaza right beside the pizzeria. Easy to find. We stopped by on our way to a class. There is an extensive menu. The garlic bread with mozzarella was simply superb. We regretted only getting a half. : The grinders are huge! I will have to try the meatballs the next time- very, very popular. : The wonderful hostess keeps things moving and the staff in the kitchen are cranking it out. After playing disc golf at Center Springs Park with a friend from out of state, we walked to CJ's in Manchester for a sandwich. CJ's is the best place in town for sandwiches, there's no competition. We shared a delicious meatball sub with peppers and also ordered a gluten-free pizza with eggplant and mushrooms. Despite not having a gluten sensitivity, we enjoyed the change of pace with the gluten-free crust. Both dishes were excellent. If you're looking for classic Connecticut cuisine and want to dive right in, don't miss out on CJ's in Manchester. They also offer gluten-free pizza for those with dietary restrictions.
This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was overall very tasty. While it may not be the best in the state, I will definitely be coming back. The portion sizes are huge. The buffalo chicken grinder was delicious, except they forgot the blue cheese dressing we asked for. The pizza was perfect. The prices were very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and had a decent amount of seating available.

This is the best sandwich I have ever had. I am from Mississippi and will definitely be bringing one home with me. The service was excellent for take-out, the meal type was dinner, and the price per person was $10-20. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5.

Not the most fantastic pizza, but the cheese. The cheese is what does it here for me. I like this much better than Wilson’s and some of the other highly rated pizza in the area, but not my favorite. Food: 4 Service: 4
