We went on a Saturday night after a family birthday meal in a local restaurant. There was a lively, enjoyable atmosphere, everyone seemed happy, and the young bar staff were very friendly and eager to please. However I've also visited a couple of times during...the day, on weekdays, and once on a Saturday morning, when there has been a more mature woman wearing glasses serving behind the bar who is not very friendly, not very welcoming, and whose behaviour is a little peculiar. There's no interaction from her, no conversation, and she comes across as being unapproachable...... except when she's serving one of the regulars, when her demeanour totally alters, and she becomes friendly and smile...
this place is full of rude, lively, unrespectful, titled teenagers. I was from a girl who had been messed up with a young man sitting next to me. When I challenged her, she was rude, unapologetic and...disrespectful. her friend group then joined me and my friend with her rude and unrespectful being. I talked to one of the bar staff about her and her answer was that they are my friends from school the manager was also not disturbed, his answer was that they are old enough to drink he was probably not disturbed because they buy shorts and cocktails!
Sadly the Com has gone into decline. Last couple of visits there have been uncomfortable to say the least. Loudmouth yobs one room, underage kids the other. Two young lads came into the loo when I was there, both straight into one cubicle, out again...two minutes later.... taking or dealing ? Even the beer was rank last time, I’m guessing pipes not cleaned. Noticeable none of the old regulars there these days.
really nice pub except the saddo who has decided to report the place for not social distancing, although this person and her party did not comply with these rules. you are a sad and lonely person who would fight someone to satisfy, I. think even I would have to go around in a softie and I am not even the fussy.

visited a lot about the years and during the covid times. the staff is very friendly and all have adhered to the strict rules of the government. the staff is very friendly and helpful. some attention seekers who do not get what they want to make false reports need...to win a life
This venue doesn't bother to implement social distancing measures. I went in on a Saturday night, and I was appalled to see patrons crammed in wall-to-wall. I promptly left again. I will not drink at a venue as irresponsible as this one.
Best pub in Rainainhill, apart from the negativity from some know it all female who decided to report the licencee for over crowding, in which he lost his job.... Just because no one was showing her attention......
I'm a regular here in the Comm. It is, without doubt, the best pub in Rainhill and I have to say the peculiar one is up there with my favourite bar staff.

the com is back in the game. good beer, to choose from, well kept and only music is good and not intrusive. cozy place for a Monday night pint.
Go here for a few beers on an occasional basis always good service and good beer nice relaxed atmosphere
