Coombs Ice Cream Parlour

You simply cannot go to the Goat on the Roof Market and area and not stop for the ice cream or gelato. After the most scrumptious lunch we sauntered over and looked at what seemed to be a hundred flavours and colours of ice creams...and gelatos. We could only go for a single scoop but Don ordered the salted caramel ice cream and I ordered the Raspberry Cream cheese flavour. The nicest part of this establishment is that if you can have the treat in a cone or a bowl, there is no price different. It is all the same. The ice cream is heavenly. Oh my. Well that sure solves the question of what is for supper. NOTHING! Oh we do love this place.

This restaurant has excellent ice cream, featuring mostly Island Farms flavors along with some homemade choices. They seem to have mastered the ideal temperature for storing the ice cream, as it is perfectly soft for scooping but doesn't melt too quickly. Additionally, their technique for scooping and shaping the ice cream is precise, resulting in large scoops that don't easily fall or drip.

Make sure you have an appetite! The selection is unbelievable... I almost wish they offered a "sampler platter"... smaller scoops and let me choose 5 or more flavors! They had too many to count and some very unusual colors that match those floavors. All in all... DELICIOUS ice cream!

Went in through the back parking lot. Where the tour buses park, behind the Ice Cream Shop, is garbage everywhere. Dirty ice cream buckets, and garbage blowing everywhere. Couldn't eat there after that!

Their ice cream is very hard to resist, and can only be resisted if you are already full! Well worth a visit! You won't be disappointed.
