We were in Knoxville for the Paul McCartney concert on May 3st This was our first trip to Tennessee, and I knew the restaurants would be very busy on the night of the concert. Luckily, months before this I decided to make a reservation for dinner that evening, I am so glad that I did! The place was packed, as it was very close to the concert venue on the campus of University of Tennessee. In the cellar, we ordered filets that were quite tasty, and the handmade steak fries were excellent. However, I think they need to improve their cocktail preparation, as both of our drinks—a martini and a mojito—were not up to par. Aside from that, we truly enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately, our experience upstairs was less satisfactory. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip that arrived burnt, and the hot pretzels we received were barely warm. This was my first visit to Copper Cellar. We ate upstairs, not in the Cellar. Our waiter was very professional. I ordered Kim Crawford Illuminate Rose, very good. For my meal I ordered the special, Cajun Mahi Mahi with Poblano cream sauce (I requested sauce on the side), tomato pie and steamed broccoli. Everything on my plate was excellent. The Mahi was so good, it didn’t even need the sauce. The tomato pie was great, I make tomato pie, and this was just as good as mine! The steamed broccoli was nicely cooked. We had really high expectations for our meal, but unfortunately, we were let down on multiple fronts. The service was incredibly slow; we waited over an hour for our entrees. While our waiter was nice and apologized every 15 minutes, it didn’t really change the situation. Then we decided to order dessert, which turned out to be another mistake as we faced yet another long wait. Overall, our dining experience lasted over 2.5 hours, and the food was just mediocre. To make matters worse, management didn’t attempt to address the lengthy wait, and at one point, we even had to get our own utensils for dessert. It was quite disappointing. I recently visited Copper Celler with my sister and her family for Sunday Brunch. We devoured the mini croissants and they were delicious. My sister’s pork chop and spinach Maria came out pipping hot and she loved it. My niece had the lemon pepper chicken and rice and enjoyed it as well. My nephew built his own burger and ate every bite so that too was a hit. We could not pass up the butter cake with ice cream and it was delicious. We kept out server Emily busy but she did not miss a beat. Cannot wait to come back again soon!

We really enjoyed Copper Cellar. Great service and great food. I had the blue cheese 10oz sirloin, it was delicious. It was a very think cut, super juicy. I also ordered a side house salad very fresh, crispy lettuce, and the ranch dressing was so good, I couldn't stop eating it! We even saved it to eat with the fries we ordered. I'd recommend Neva's potatoes over the spicy mac and cheese, I thought the mac was a little too soupy.

I stopped by for lunch and sat upstairs. I ordered the Caesar Salad. It included iceberg lettuce, very little dressing, a small amount of parmesan cheese, and soft croutons, but the portion size was huge. While there was a lot of food, the quality was disappointing. I was really surprised they would serve something like this.

We've been eating here for a very long time and will only eat downstairs in the cellar! The must have menu items for me are the steak and shrimp along with nevas potatoes! My husband always gets the prime rib and it's always cooked perfectly!! Service is always great and it's definitely a place to frequent! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Everything about our experience was great. The Ale Steak was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. My wife’s mahi-mahi was also excellent. Our service was timely and courteous. Austin was our server and was very good. We highly recommend this restaurant.
