Thursday at 5:50pm had to wait 25 minutes for a table when the restaurant was 80% empty. The hostess was pushy and not courteous. She gave us breakfast menus and it took another 10 minutes to get dinner menus. The food was very good except mysteak fries were old like they were from the bottom of the barrel. The service was lousy. We didn't get what we ordered, shebegan cleaning the table and taking everything when we had plates still half full of food. She took the extra Butter that we hadordered and my wife's plate before she was done. We eat at cracker barrel all over the country and usually have a goodexperience. This location was not good. We never saw anyone smile during this visit.
Our waitress was always too busy to refill our drinks and forgot the steak sauce and ketchup that she had just asked us if we needed it. Then, she went to the back and c as me back out to another table to take their order, not even bringing the condiments. We had to get someone else to help us. We were going to give him the tip, but wasn't able to because when you pay, they give it to whomever places your order. Other than that, the food was delicious!!!
The restaurant was short-staffed during my visit, which resulted in several tables remaining dirty and unavailable. The hash brown casserole had a hard crust on top, and the country fried steak was overcooked with an excessively thick gravy. On the positive side, the salad, pinto beans, cornbread, and biscuits were tasty. Our waitress did her best to manage. Overall, I would rate this experience 3 stars, which feels generous. I won't be returning.
The salad bar has really improved a lot. Sausage, bacon, along with fresh vegetables made me visit it several times. The assortment of meats was fewer than I remember but it may have been the lunchtime. All were good. Our waiter was really slow butanother kind waiter stepped over and help us with drinks, plates, potatoes, bread, I wished she was our waiter, but overall agood experience.

The kitchen staff has been struggling lately. My fiancé and I ordered our steaks medium rare, but they arrived blue rare (lightly cooked on the outside but raw inside). We sent them back three times. When they finally returned, they were acceptable. As a tip for the manager: if your chefs are having trouble cooking meat properly, please have them use a meat thermometer.
I absolutely loved the dinner sampler featuring ham, meatloaf, and chicken & dumplings. The food was just as delicious as I had anticipated. However, the service truly impressed me! There was a lovely lady cleaning tables who was so sweet and funny. As we were leaving, she was finishing her shift and kindly held the door open for us.
I really enjoy breakfast at Cracker Barrel, especially when the fireplace is on. I always like to browse the items in the store while I wait. It’s definitely better to dine in rather than take out, as you can make sure your order is just right. We were recently disappointed with our takeout; the food wasn't as fresh as we had hoped.
Moreover, the interview process was quite frustrating. I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was not busy, and I was placed right next to other customers during the interview. Overall, I would rate my service experience a 1 out of 5.
