Brian's restaurant has a concerning policy of throwing away customers' handbags or bags when they leave the establishment. Recently, this happened to a customer who had items valued at $2000 in their bag, including cash, phones, headphones, and personal belongings. The customer had to cancel credit and debit cards as a result. This experience was shocking, as they had never been treated so poorly at the restaurant before. A friend and I ate here for the first time and enjoyed it very much. The outside is deceptive to how cute and comfortable you will find the interior. Clean facility with nice tables, and comfy chairs throughout. The restaurant is difficult to spot if you have not been there before. The large for lease banner hanging above the restaurant on the outside gives the impression the restaurant is closed, which does not help. My regular favorite go-to in Hickory! Delicious and abundant vegan options in an otherwise pretty scarce area. It's great to go out to eat with friends and family without getting stuck with plain lettuce and an empty stomach. Everyone I bring instantly loves Crescent Moon. They have a great variety of drinks (mixed, liquor, ales, lagers, beers, ciders, etc). Food is so well priced and always delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with staff who are always wonderful. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I used to frequently go to Hickory for dinner and date night, but recently I have been eating more plant-based. So when I was searching for vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Hickory, I came across this place. I was not disappointed. They had great beer and wine options, and the hummus edamame was excellent. My sister and I tried to eat at Hatch Sandwiches, but they were closed due to a staffing shortage. The staff recommended Crescent Moon Cafe, which was only a few doors down. The atmosphere was tavern-style and the menu was extensive, catering to all tastes. We ended up trying a Portabella mushroom sandwich and a Bohnenburger.

Crescent Moon Cafe is a great budget-friendly restaurant in Downtown Hickory. We tend to go around lunchtime during the workweek. They have a great staff that takes care of you promptly, respecting a person's lunch hour. The food is phenomenal as well. Highly recommend trying the Cresent Moon Sandwich!

Since this cooly decorated and fun establishment has opened, I have enjoyed going for special nights out with friends or my husband. Oftentimes I get the mango quesadilla the flatbread pizzas are great.

Incredible atmosphere and really well priced/good food. Excellent drink selection, and tap takeover on (most) Wednesday(s).
