Charming and cozy Cuban restaurant located in the heart of Charleston, just a short walk from King Street and the College of Charleston. We enjoyed the authentic Cuban sandwich and the green fries—absolutely delicious! I previously thought I had tasted a real Cuban sandwich, but I was mistaken until I visited this place! The food is truly authentic, and the decor and music create a wonderfully Cuban atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I came across an advertisement for this restaurant in the news and initially wanted to visit their new location in North Charleston, but since they were closed on Sunday, I opted for the downtown location instead. For my appetizer, I tried the chicken enchilada. While the filling was a bit bland, the outer shell was perfectly fried. I ordered a pineapple coconut drink, which was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I went with the coconut chicken, and it was another fantastic dish bursting with flavor. The plantains were sweet and satisfying. The best Cuban sandwich I've ever had (and I've tried a lot)! Don't even get me started on the Green Fries loaded with cilantro, parmesan, diced pickles and some sort of Cuban crack green sauce that was DELICIOUS! I only ate half and am stuffed. I'll be back Cuban Gypsy Pantry! Thank you for bringing authentic Cuban cuisine!

Great food, great prices and great atmosphere. My husband and I ordered a Cuban sandwich with green frits and coconut yarns with black beans and rice. The flavors and textures of the Cuban food here are truly authentic. It's as good as, if not better than, any I've tried in Tampa. We're only visiting for a few days, but we're thinking about coming back again! What a fantastic discovery!

If you are sitting there, read this review and you still have to go, you just know that you miss. The goodness that's in this place. Dear Lord. Never Cuban food from a restaurant that is amazing. The flavor combinations are breathtaking.

Awesome Cuban food. Curtains, churros, tres leches cake, and cafe con leche among all their other amazing food were incredible. A/C was working but felt like we were sitting outside in Havana!
