To begin with, how this restaurant has a rating of 3.9 when the last 8 reviewers (9 now have given it 5 stars is beyond me. Anyway, I digress.<br/ <br/ My partner and I don 't eat out frequently but when we do, we want it to be special and exceed what we can do ourselves at home (often not the case in our experience . Having mourned the loss of Esquire, we were delighted to discover that Restaurant Dan Arnold reaches similar levels of execution, imagination and flavour. <br/ <br/ The five course degustation (which is actually more than it sounds with two lots of amuse-bouche and petit fours was sublime and wines matched perfectly. Whilst not strictly a vegetarian, I hardly ever eat meat so...
As one of Dan's closest friends, I have watched him develop his skills as a chef over many years of very hard work. The results and achievements speak for themselves. Having eaten at several of the restaurants he has worked in, I am probably one of very few people who can vouch for the consistently impeccable service, quality and taste of the food he is so capable of creating. An absolutely extraordinary cook. Merci chef!
Fresh produce cooked perfectly and presented beautifully like a piece of art. <br/ <br/ Dishes that blow your mind coz the texture is lighter than expected, the natural flavours of the produce accentuated such that you feel like you are tasting it for the very first time and dish after dish of beautiful delicious well thought out food.
Absolutely fabulous! Bringing amazing food to Brisbane. Beautiful flavours and incredible presentation thoroughly enjoyed it. Had the 5 course experience wth matching wines! Yum! Will be back!
