was really disappointed with my recent experience at DePaul's Table. The food was overpriced, the portions were small, the cooking was amateurish, and the service was hopeless. I started off with the roasted beet salad, which was overpriced and underwhelming. The beets were dry and tasteless, and the goat cheese was bland and unseasoned. For my main course, I ordered the grilled salmon, which was also a disappointment. The salmon was overcooked and dry, and the vegetables were undercooked and mushy. The service was also terrible. Our waiter was inattentive and never came to check on us. When we finally flagged him down, he took forever to bring our food. We also had to ask him multiple times...
The decor was excellent, the service was good (attentive but not engaging) but the food was the big disappointment here. Rubbery calamari was under seasons and over breaded, the crispy brussels sprouts show real promise until a bottle of sweet chilli sauce was dumped over them ruining the crispy and complete overpowering the dish. Raw ginger and raw garlic in the tomato jam with the burrata had no place in the dish and took away rather than added to the experience. The pan fried scallops were ever so slightly overcooked for my taste but would suit most people and were the best dish of the night. For our steaks I do not believe for one minute that they were actually dry aged 28 days as advert...
Have been here several times and had wonderful experiences but was traumatized the last time I was here. Our meal was lovely and for the first time decided to get dessert. I was several bites into the brownie sundae and found an extremely long hair in my mouth!! I was shocked and almost threw up my entire meal. When I brought attention to the waiter he seemed to just shrug it off like it wasn't a big deal. Was mortified after all the fabulous times I've been here and just left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.
Was recently here for a bday celebration. The ambiance was perfect! Lighting, decor and fabulous staff. Food on the other hand was just cool. I had really high expectations, and was not impressed. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't up to par with other establishments I have visited of the same caliber. I had the baked potato, scallops and Brussel sprouts. I will definitely give them another shot, may have been an off night.

Me and my gf came here on July 7th! There is complimentary parking so that I loved! We walked in and were greeted sat. Our waiter Glenn was very nice and attentive. The restaurant had dim lightning but the drinks were good and the Brussels were amazing! The grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes we ordered was really good! I would come back and try happy hour
Most of our lamb chops were over cooked and they did not offer to refire them our cocktails mix was very inconsistent one minute it was good and the next minute it was completely different with the same drink. Definitely was expecting better service
The restaurant is a little too dark but the food was excellent. My veal was huge, the seafood mac and cheese was rich, and the mashed potatoes were still good two days later. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Great experience across the board . Owner was very personable and the food was better . We Will definitely visit again . Great way to spend our anniversary.
