I think this place is good, but not quite to meet the brand. the chorizo is not very spicy or tasteful (the rest of the queensadilla was good, though and the pastor taco was painfully small with only 2 small slices chikin and teeny piece ananas (taste really good, but not worth the $6! . we went to an early appearance in brunswick east, so I booked here a table for later. I was just before lunch and the bar was closed so I was looking forward to tacos and a cocktail. we ordered the chilaquiles as an appetizer, and that was absolutely delicious, with the excellent homemade chorizo and exactly the right amount of spicy heat, and in fact was the highlight of the meal. the phish taco was beautiful and crisp, a reasonable texture, but all taco had not much taste. the chicken quesadilla was similar, considerable, but only ok tasteful. Unfortunately, the service was a bit awkward. Ordering and the timing of the food being served felt disjointed. We needed water and cutlery, but I only discovered the self-service station near the restrooms as we were leaving. The atmosphere was quite loud and echoey, making it difficult to hear my friends. I think the space could benefit from some sound insulation. Despite these issues, I plan on returning for Taco Tuesday! Updated from my previous review dated 2021-06-26.

Everything I have eaten from Don Taco has been amazing I've been on a weekend lunchtime and I've had takeaway a couple of times, different food every time. It's all so flavourful and delicious! My favourite filling is the pibil, made from shredded mushroom. There are tons of burrito places in Melbourne but this one blows the rest completely out of the water!
We did the all you can eat taco night. Really quick and efficient service. Easy ordering and pay system for sides/drinks/dessert. Only disappointed in the fact that the menu sent out with the confirmation email isn't what's available on the night. Would have loved to have tried more dessert options. Everything we had was brilliant flavour and quality though
Quite nicely set up and friendly staff. Went there if 3rd lunch, had as limited menu. Then again for dinner, I like the mushroom tacos we had. Also fried which were fine. The corn dish seems it was canned corn and was nothing special. Deserts are nice, had churros. Would go again but not as my first choice.
I visited this restaurant for the first time the other day, and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and my friend and I really enjoyed our meal of loaded Mexican nachos. I can't wait to try more dishes!

At first, I hoped the food would arrive more quickly, but in the end, I definitely received plenty of food, and there was a wonderful variety of tacos to choose from.
I went for Taco tuesday with a friend and both of us enjoyed the food and ambience. Good food and customer service. No delays in food.
