My family (including an almost two year old kid who is prone to contracting Croup), my in-laws, and our friend and her family all came together for dinner at El Chico in Pantego. I’ll start with the positives: food and service were excellent. There were a couple mixups in our orders; but to be fair, we had a fairly large party. Now (sadly) on to the negative: after we’d settled in, placed our orders, and had already received our drinks and appetizers we noticed that suddenly and strongly smelled of cigarette smoke in the restaurant. Ordered a To Go of asada/cheese enchiladas. The enchiladas consisted of a block of cold hard cheese inside a tortilla that had clearly never been in the oven. The carne asada was a tough overcooked slab of something that a steakknife had trouble cutting into. Would never spend money there again.

Best tex-mex for the price and services in all of Arlington. The shrimp tacos are to die for and the amazing skillet brownie with ice cream and rum sauce is totally worth every penny.
This was my first time here the food truly was amazing it was really good this service was fantastic the atmosphere was also very great I would definitely recommend
