This place was once a staple in Miami County. But the past 2 years it has become terrible. They messed my wifes fajitas order up 9 out 9 times. You couldn't get a fountain drink to go due to no lids or cups. You get fajitas and you get zero peppers and just a disgusting bed of onions. I stopped going for nearly a year. Decided to give it a chance again today and absolutely i never ever in my lifetime set foot in this restaurant ever again. Worse food ever. Dry chicken stale chips dried up rice no flavor at all on any of my order. They charged me $3.00 for a 16 ounce fountain drink. Absolute garbage. 99 percent onions is what my fajitas chicken laid in. This is our second visit since Ruben, the beloved owner dies. Two f his long time employees took over the business. We always liked El Sombrero and I have to say that the food is just a bit better than before. This is our go to place for what I’d call traditional Midwest Mexican food. The meats used are well prepared and the sauces are good. The new owners seem to have upgraded the bar offerings. If you ate here in the past and liked t, you will like it, now.
Salsa was good but that’s where it ends. Meals were terrible. No hot sauces, salt and pepper, or anything at the tables to help make it more edible (not that it would’ve helped). “Spicy red sauce” tasted like canned spaghetti sauce. One bite and done.

A Mexican restaurant closed on July 4 for the independence of the United States, how ironic. In short, the hypocrisy in Mexico was even bothered by Easter
Food was decent. Been going there on and off for over 25 years. It is under new ownership. Prices have skyrocketed.
