We tried the beyond burger with vegan mozzarella at this restaurant. The vegan cheese was crispy around the edges, which was a pleasant surprise. The bun and all the toppings were fresh. The French fries were also crispy and tasty (although we're not sure if they were fried in the same oil as other items, as we didn't inquire). The staff was friendly and the service was quick.
We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice, but it is right on the road, so it was a little noisy. We had the fish and chips, and one of their burgers. Both were good, the fish was freshly breaded and seasoned well. Fries were fantastic. Service was ok. It seemed like they might have been down a person to help. We would come back again to try some additional dishes.
A nice place for a quick bite. We stopped in with a larger group for lunch and were able to sit outside. The service was friendly and accommodating to special requests, and the food came out relatively quickly. Food was good, most of us got burgers or sandwiches- the bahn mi is spicer than expected so be aware!
Definitely the best hole-in-the-wall bar in the south Tahoe area. Got to get the peanut butter jelly shots. Don't think I ever want to go to another bar again in South lake Tahoe except for this one. I had a fantastic time at this cozy local restaurant. While it was a bit understaffed, as many places are nowadays, I enjoyed chatting with the friendly locals. It's a great spot for a low-key dining experience.
There are many vegan options available at this restaurant, however, some of them are on the greasy and rough side. The vegetables lack flavor and seem to have been microwaved.
Seems like no one cares anymore at many places in Tahoe. Lady bartender was nice as well as the cook but other than that nothing special.
