As a local Valdezian I love to support local businesses. That being said, I feel every time I support the fat mermaid it is an utter waste of time and money. I have never eaten here and left happy with my experience or satisfied with the food. Its always mediocre at best, and extremely overpriced. As for the service, Every server I have ever had has been unattentive and has almost no personality at all. My partner and I ate breakfast there this morning and it was the straw that broke the camel 's back and led to this review. Very nice service, quick to take our order, food came out quickly and our waitress kept our waters full. Fish tacos were ok, could have had more fish but they were tasty. The Mermaid burger with fries was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly.
Came here immediately upon arriving in Valdez. No wait, great view. My friend and I both ordered tacos and split a salad and the food was filling without being heavy.
@TheWanderingBrocks Place was busy so service was a little slow. Pizza was good, I’d go back if back in the area. Seemed to have a huge local atmosphere.
