From the road to the GR10, looking to fill our gourdes, we decide to stop at the Gîte de randonneur. Welcome without hi, we are told dryly that the hostel is closed but that there is a drinking water tap near the exit, after accusing us of not filling our gourdes earlier (no drinking water found between bidaray and the farm). The next day, on the return we will fill our gourdes with the indicated tap. The owner of the place then screams on us without the slightest courtesy that we are in a private property and that we do not have to fill our gourdes (even person who proposed the outer tap on the day before). Smiling and welcoming boss. For the rest we were disappointed. Meals, not bad but very fat, no possibility to choose anything from the menu... When you're on the 4th day eating soup and a omelette is heavy... Breakfast was mediocre and the room is not talking about it... we slept with polars and socks. It made super wet to the point that our clothes and hair felt moisture. Otherwise, it was nice to see these animals at liberty. For the rest, one night is enough. Too bad because there's a good potential to exploit. The room is not talking about it. We're cold, no pillow, just a little bite... Like other comments, we were looking for a venta to drink coffee, we had seen the sign a little lower than there was a place for the hiker. Without notice that we were going back to the property, we removed the dog. Without panic, we turned back on the way with the dog to our ankles ready to trap us. We were scared. Once out of the property, they reminded the dog to order who stayed quietly. Obviously, the reputation is already made to banish.
A beautiful, very picturesque road of about 10km (a little narrow at the place) before arriving. The farm Esteben-Borda is a typical and very quiet place. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. A very rich and high meal at a very affordable price. I RECOMMEND it
