I was incredibly disappointed in this place. I had such high hopes, but my group left pretty miffed and hungry. We had a large group of friends come in for lunch with kids. We showed up right when they opened on Sunday at 12. We were the only ones there. My one friend asked me to grab the four top table next to me to add to her four top. This place is located alongside the railroad tracks in Berwyn. The main draw is that they are a microbrewery with an average of 7 unique rotating selections (It's almost like going to a Baskin-Robbins 31 flavors ice cream shop, because each month they will offer something different . Berwyn has a lot of great local businesses and among these is a brewery. Flapjack has been around awhile now, and still the employees have a clear love of the job. It's not just a brewery but also a pizza restaurant. Each of these are great on their own, but together makes one of the ultimate combinations. The prices are pretty good, and you get full pours and portions. Good reasons for getting off Metra in Berwyn are one: getting beer here, and two: getting pizza here. My wife and I have been Mug Club members since nearly the beginning, and we truly love this place. We genuinely hope it has a long and successful future in Berwyn. That said, this review focuses on our most recent visit. We arrived tonight (Friday) just before 6 PM, got seated promptly, and ordered our beer and pizza right away. Local Berwyn spot that I've been wanting to try! First time here and it wasn't too shabby. We ordered the Pepperoni Margherita Pizza, both solid pizza's and not filly/doughy at all. For about 6 of us, we ordered 2 pizzas and three flights for about $70. Satisfied our hunger but definitely did not fill us. It's also not the biggest place, so don't expect lots of space. This place is a fantastic choice for homemade wood-fired pizza! I visited on a Thursday evening and found an available table right away. We started with the arugula salad, which was huge and delicious. It featured thick slices of Parmesan, pistachios, tomatoes, and a slightly sweet and tangy balsamic drizzle. We love Brewery hopping, but this place was not your typical brewery. We were pretty disappointed by how many kids were there that were screaming at the top of their lungs. Don't get me wrong, I know many kids go to breweries but this one was filled with them and it unfortunately made the atmosphere not what we were looking for. Sad cause the beer and service was good and we wanted to try their delicious looking pizza but we couldn't stay there for any longer with the screaming kids. Great service, tasty beer. We shared the special of the day that was a white pizza with burrata, rapini and prosciutto. The crust was spot on nice and crispy with just enough of a bit softer bite at the ends. Friends got a sausage which was great as well. But don't stop at the great pizza, this is also a brewery. Was so crowded I couldn't get to the bar to take a photo of the beers, one was a vanilla, nice a light. They also had to nitro coffee stout and I had a very good Weiss beer.

Best pizza this side of Italy. So many others in the area get more press, but they have nothing on Flapjack. As far as the beer, I'm usually not much of a beer drinker, but here I make an exception. The selection is always good and the taste is always crisp, cold, and fresh.
Tommy and Jason are amazing, ALL OF THE CHEFS ARE . Top 5 brewery of mine and I have visited over 70 Illinois breweries. Great food and amazing service.
