I frequently visit Des Moines for overnight stays, but had never experienced Fong's Pizza until recently. I decided to give it a try and ordered a pulled pork BBQ Pizza for takeout. While I enjoyed the flavors, I found that there was very little meat on the pizza, only a few bites per slice. Additionally, the thin crust pizza seemed a bit overpriced at $16.00 for a 10-inch pizza. I will likely opt for a different, more popular pizza option on my next visit.
Fantastic pizza spot in the heart of downtown Des Moines. While the Crab Rangoon pizza is a popular choice, all the other options are just as delicious. I recommend trying the Southsider pizza and substituting the olive oil for Alfredo sauce - it's amazing. They have a great selection of beer and the service is top-notch. Definitely the best pizza place in Iowa.
We came here while we were in town over the weekend and immediately loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The servers were warm and helpful. My husband had the crab Rangoon pizza, which I also tried and loved. Mozzarella sticks were wild! Egg roll wrapped mozzarella! Our small son ate his entire pizza except for one piece, so he must have liked it as well.
My fiancé and I went for lunch yesterday while traveling from Austin to Wisconsin. We got two of the tiki drinks (of course two with souvenir mugs! and a Philippines pizza; per recommendation of the gal at the bar. Our server, Brooklyn, was awesome. Great pizza. I have eaten in the restaurant many times and most recently ordered it to take out. We tried the crab Rangoon pizza, which had a unique and delicious combination of flavors. The pizza egg rolls were also very flavorful.
Place came highly recommended by my hotel. After reading the reviews, of course had to try the Crab Rangoon pizza it was everything they raved about! Service was great, drinks were served with a helmet this is my kind of place.
Solid pizza. I’ve dined in many times and recently got it to go. We had the crab Rangoon pizza. The mix of favors is so unique for a pizza really enjoyed it. The pizza eggs rolls are are very flavorful

The Chicken pizza by General Tso is great! You have several local brews on Hahn. Chinese pizza sounds strange, but it's amazing. Large thin crust, too.
