For our first order, my girlfriend and I got 24 wings (Sriracha bourbon), half boneless and half with bones, along with a kids’ chicken strip basket, fish and chips, and onion rings around 6:45 PM for a late dinner. I can’t comment on the chicken strips since they were for our 11-year-old, but he’s ordered them many times and has always enjoyed them.
The onion rings were a pleasant surprise—fried to perfection and delicious! I absolutely loved the bone-in chicken wings; the flats, my personal favorite, were fried just right, and the sauce was fantastic. This is what earned the review its stars.

I ordered a short Captain and Coke, hoping it would be a bit stronger, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. My friend got the cheeseballs ($6.80), and we were pleasantly surprised when they turned out to be mozzarella! They were lightly breaded, and the portion was enormous and delicious! If I could, I would give them an extra half star overall!
This is more of a restaurant with a small bar then a pub, IMHO.Nice clean place with friendly staff and a solid and interesting food offering.If you are looking a pub or dive bar, this is NOT that place. If you are looking for a good meal with a beer or cocktail, this could be a 5 star place to you.
Absolutely perfect small town bar food. Everything we love in Rural Iowa dining. Beer came in frosty mugs, burgers were real beef and came in a variety of creative ways. Service was perfect. We definitely will be back on our next road trip.

As much as I’d like to keep this place a secret (selfishly), I can’t keep it to myself. We loved this place. Staff was friendly and food and drinks were great. We will be back, often.
I just wanted to mention that the taco salad in a shell here is absolutely fantastic!
