I loved this place so much I ate here two days out of the three I stayed and would have a third time if I’d had the chance. The first time I had the lunch special and the meat and veg in the dish were cooked to perfection. My partner had a curry chicken and the meat and veg in that dish were good too as was the curry sauce. The price included soup and spring roll so I rated it excellent value for money. The second visit I chose my favourite dish, lemon chicken. I hadn’t eaten that day so ate it all myself however it would have been enough for two people. Really good Chinese food in Valdez! I was skeptical, but having eaten multiple times at the Fat Mermaid (and been a bit disappointed each time, not least by their prices), I decided to try Fu Kung on the recommendation of some locals. Pleasantly surprised! Much cheaper than the Fat Mermaid, and with an extensive menu of both Chinese as well as Thai and sushi options, plenty for everyone to choose from. I had the Mandarin Dinner For One which included sweet sour soup (delicious) to start, egg rolls (solid) and Szechuan Chicken Fried Rice (very tasty and very substantial; could not finish). All for under $30, which is a good price! Recommend.
Showed up at restaurant just after 8 pm. They told me it was only a 20 min wait. After waiting an hour and a half they treated us like we shouldn’t be there but sat us. After sitting down no service and another server came back pointed at my family and asked what we were doing there. Nearing 10 pm I finally had to walk to Safeway and feed my family frozen meals since they were the only thing open at that point. Absolute garbage service. If you are looking at horrible service and prices to match this is the place for you! Do yourself a service and skip this **** house.
Been going to Valdez for years, camping fishing, just enjoying the sights! Usually grab a burger, but the restaurant we normally go to was closed. We needed to find a shop to fix one of our phones and noticed this joint. We were hungry, the lunch specials were still on, so we took a chance and were quite glad we did. Very tasty food and fairly quick to be brought out. Staff were friendly enough, perhaps a tad on the tired side, but with all that is going on, was a great experience for this neck of the woods. I first ate at the Fu Kung when I was a young man 32 years ago. Fu Kung is still alive and kicking so I thought that it must still be a great restaurant. And was it ever a great dining experience. The place was friendly, clean, and the food was incredibly delicious. It’s not that expensive considering the quality and quantity of the food. The furniture is interesting as a side note. We really had a great experience dining at the Fu Kung.
We were part of a party of four who came to this restaurant after reading the reviews. We must have been here on the chef’s night off because all the food we ordered was tasteless. That is difficult to do with Chinese food! Service was good, portion size was large but all of the dishes were very disappointing.
Not impressed with their Lo Mein. Over priced. Service was 'meh '. What 's saving this review from being a 1 star was the steamed potstickers were good. She also forgot to bring our beer because she was too busy talking on her phone

While visiting in Valdez we ate dinner in this Chinese restaurant. Food was good, staff was very friendly, place is clean. Very good option while in Valdez.
