This happened on 9-25-23. I went in and ordered two to-go meals. I gave specific instructions for one of the orders, which, apparently was ignored. I re-tipped the waiter because what I originally gave I did not think was enough. That was my second mistake. Since I have eaten here for so long, when I got my check I thought it was a little too much for what I ordered but didn't think anything about it. When I got home, the meals were non-edible. My sister's dish--given specific instructions--looked like it was cooked yesterday. My taco salad was awful. I spent $50 on takeout and had a 20-minute wait, so I inquired if I could sit at the bar while I waited. I decided to order a beer, but unfortunately, no one came to ask me the entire time. Four people went behind the bar, yet none of them checked to see if I wanted a drink. Meanwhile, six staff members, including the bartender, were sitting at a table next to me, chatting away. I was very disappointed. Waitress was excellent but food was awful. Chips were stale, shrimp fajitas had no taste and rice tasted like boxed rice. The nuggets went in eaten because of an after taste. We've been eating at Garcia for eight years. Not even were we ever disappointed at what was served. The food is delicious and is presented appealingly on the plate. The Friday specials are great.
The food was excellent and I finished my entire plate, as did my dining companions. The staff were friendly and very attentive. I would definitely return for another meal.
Have found a new Garcia's. Food is a lot better than the past and even the chips and salsa are great. Servers are very friendly and the best margueritta's.
