The cashier appeared to be angry, and the main issue was that the restaurant was very dirty. There were crumbs on the table, trash all over the floor, and the bathrooms were described as disgusting. Additionally, there were flies on the food in the display case. Despite wanting to give three stars initially, the reviewer lowered their rating to two stars after hearing about the poor condition of the bathrooms. They further reduced the rating to one star after receiving a dismissive response from the barista when thanking them on the way out. Even though the reviewer believes the restaurant may be nice once cleaned up and with better staff attitudes, they suggest that those in the service ind...
This is hands down my favorite place to go for coffee and perhaps a pastry or lunch when in Frankfort. Coffee and service are always good and it has that homey feel that you can only get in a small town local business. Today I went for a coffee and a fresh blueberry muffin before visiting the Kentucky Historical Society to do some family history research. The history center is just down the street and the historic old capitol is right across the street. Plus on either side without going outside you can visit a Kentucky crafts store and/or the local bookstore. Free parking is nearby and downtown Frankfort is very walkable and of course historic.
I stopped by this quaint downtown cafe for a quick coffee and bagel before a Civil War tour. It's conveniently located across from the old capitol building. The service is always friendly and the coffee is tasty. However, I found the bagels to be a bit lacking in cream cheese. It was served in a small plastic container on the side, making it difficult to spread with the provided plastic knife. Clearly, they are not familiar with the concept of a "schmear" like they do in New York.
We are breakfast here and ordered an orange/ cranberry muffin and a bagel. The muffin was freshly baked while the bagel was just a plain out of package bagel. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and a tasty breakfast sandwich! Treat yourself and take a seat outside to take in the charming views of historic downtown Frankfort.
I’ve stopped here a few times every time I’m in Kentucky and love this cafe! The coffee is good with lots of options and flavours and the food is delicious!
The cold brew with coconut cold foam was excellent! We also had a lemon cranberry muffin, which my husband loved, but I didn't like.
Espresso machine didn’t produce proper espressos. Food is all microwaved and then served. Go to Engine to get coffee. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great sandwiches! I also got a cinnamon roll, it wasn’t anything special but not bad.
