We visited Thai Smile for lunch upon the recommendation of a Thai employee at another shop in Frankfort. The restaurant was hidden from street view in a strip mall that had a lot of empty shops. Yet, there were many patrons going into Thai Smile for lunch or to pick up takeout orders. The restaurant had a take out feel, even for sit down diners. There was a relatively small dining area with small tables and a large rectangular table along the entrance way with iced tea canisters, napkins, and cutlery. Whenever you are hungry for authentic Thai food, Thai Smile is the only place to go! There are two locations including Richmond and Frankfort. This Thai is so good that my boss would drive from Louisville to Frankfort just to be able to have good Thai food. There simply is no comparison anywhere else! I continually switch between their Chicken Fried Rice, Three Flavor Chicken, or the Dry Egg Noodle Bowl. It's just difficult to decide between three delicious meals. Thai smile looks less than impressive from the outside, but don't let that fool you. It doesn't look impressive inside either. However the food is great! The whole time we were there, it was a steady stream of people coming and going. Thai smile is all about the food.
Fast friendly service. They run a well-oiled machine there during lunch to take full advantage of the limited seating space. Overall, my food was good. Not noteworthy Thai but enjoyable and I recommend others give them a try. If in the area, I would return.
