Completely divine as always. Hubby and adult son choose croque monsieurs a piece and I selected the sourdough topped with fresh curd blackcurrants and honey sublime. The food never disappoints. We were all feeling extra hungry and wanted to try the SOTD so ordered a portion of celeriac soup to share. Truly delicious and perfectly seasoned. Really some of the best food I’ve eaten at this welcoming and wonderfully decorated establishment a visit to their previous site I ordered a beetroot and mackeral salad) a real gem of an eatery with excellent selection of drinks licensed). Had 1 breakfast and 1 croc monseiur on the Friday and looked forward to 2 of the breakfasts on the Saturday. Unfortunately breakfast aren’t available on a Saturday and the menu changes for a brunch menu. However both of us had the Salmon Benedict which were both delicious and well presented as was the food on the previous day. Apple juice with ginger and turmeric were the order of the day for both of us. Really good and flavoursome. Great service from the team. Wholly recommended.
The food is really great BUT the waitressing staff could not have made any LESS effort if they’d tried. Asked what the wifi code was suggested I find out on the board Asked if I could have an additional coffee suggested I ordered and paid for it at the bar Asked for additional butter overlooked Conservatory door left banging in the wind overlooked despite us and others attempting to secure the door closure
We have visited Gather many times as we live locally. It always has a great atmosphere and is busy with customers. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is always superb with lovely ingredients. Large portions on offer. We went for the brunch and had the Eggs Benedict and Croque Monsieur with ham. Our meals were perfectly cooked and looked amazing on the plate. Well worth a visit.

I have visited this fabulous cafe in Batheaston on two occasions. It has a great menu offering interesting dishes for all types including vegans and vegetarians. All the food is well cooked and presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.
So disappointed after reading the great reviews. Unfortunately, lunch menu very limited, not generous portions, the small bowl of soup was served with thin burnt sourdough bread slices, quite pricey, it felt cold inside the restaurant on a very chilly winter day.
What a great little find ! Situated in an old pub this quirky cafe is a wonderful mix of shabby chic interiors with excellent food . The portions are generous and very good value for money . Such a great addition to batheaston !!
Two words absolutely delicious. If you are reading this deciding whether to go… GO you will not be disappointed. Friendly staff, amazing food and loads of drinks choices. Free water tap which is a nice touch too

Where were the menus? Eventually given tatty incomplete booklet! No soup. Tables need wiping over. Obvious they don’t try too hard and no local competition.
Food offer limited and quality disappointing. It was a cold day and the venue itself was quite cold so not very comfortable.
