My friend and I were completely caught off guard in Switzerland with everything closing at 7pm (on non Thursdays! , and with no supermarket open to buy desserts, we made our way to Gelateria Venezia instead! This place was a pain to find because it's located at the corner of a long street downhill near the shore, but it was worth the trip, especially because there aren't many other ice cream places in Nyon! I got the chili dark chocolate as are most things in Switzerland, it was pretty expensive so I only got 1 scoop. This place has no nonsense, super creamy gelato. This is a summer favorite. You most likely will have to wait in a long line that goes out the door. This is the best homemade gelato on lake leman. They also have another location in Rolle, located across from the Rolle castle. The spicy chocolate is a favorite flavor, but hard to get it. I have many other favorite flavors here as well. Their is always a new flavor to try. Definitely my favorite ice cream alternative, to Movenpick in Switzerland.

Expensive for ice cream but they are DELICIOUS! Lots of choices of flavors. Great staff. Nice to take an ice cream and go walk near the lake
