We had a few things to celebrate and thus booked dinner, including an overnight stay, at one of our favourite places at the top end of our wish list Georges Wenger in Le Noirmont. We were not disappointed and had a very pleasant stay. The...served wines harmonised perfectly with the different courses. The haute cuisine dishes served were absolutely delicious and were dominated by their appealing and creative appearance. The wide selection of cheese was most impressive, (a soft spot for any cheese lover! and was accompanied by a glass of port wine. Celebrating birthday at the restaurant was an excellent experience. All the (many) courses were served with great presentation, interesting ingredient combination and very high quality taste. The service was super and professional. Especially, the personal greetings an involvement of the owners. She kindly added personal...touch and interpretation to each served dish, in a multi language way. The wine was excellent our selection was 2009, which indeed was a magical year. No wonder this restaurant is one of the only 3 'grand table 's members in Swiss and rightfully deserves it 's 2 Michelline stars and more Chapeaux et Bravo !
Georges Wenger is a very famous chef known to every gourmet in Europe. So why add a review ? Just to say thank you to Mr Wenger. The lunch was a surprise for my birthday. I love fine dining but not so much very posh...places. Had I been warned I would have been reluctant. But as soon as I entered the place, and sat at this very table in the picture, I feld comfortable and happy. The service is friendly and professionnal, and the food just wooooooooooooooooow. Thank you so much for this memorable moment.
I have been coming here for over 30 years. It remains still my favourite restaurant in the world! Not much more to say! Of course it is expensive, but George Wenger is a genius! A must if you are in the Jura!
