We elected to dine at Gibson’s as we received multiple recommendations from friends. However, the experience fell way short. As for good, table was ready 15 minutes early, personable accommodating waiter, and sea bass was incredible. On the other hand, horrible atmosphere. Basically, the restaurant intended to put as many tables as possible in a single room, at the expense of any privacy. The surrounding tables were practically dining with us. Additionally, 14 oz filet mignon was ordered with high hopes but it was a big disappointment. As for my suggestion to anyone looking for options, STK Steakhouse, where we dined the night before, earned 5 stars in every single aspect.
This restaurant is doing everything right. The steak is delicious, as are the burgers, fries, and sauce Bernaise. While the interior may be a little dark and old-fashioned for some, the outside seating area offers a beautiful view over one of Chicago's most upscale squares. Our server, Daniel, provided exceptional service with great knowledge, recommendations, and empathy towards guests. Overall, a true Chicago experience not to be missed.
First time here. Ordered an angus steak sandwich and it had alot of fat in it. Not my thing. I had to cut it off so not much steak after. We ate outside and there was a lady selling candy and she kept begging us to buy candy and had her kid screaming and crying and I told an employee and she did nothing... I don't think I'll be back. Their food should be better for the prices
if you're looking for a quiet restaurant for a date spot, this might not be your cup of tea. it's busy, noisy and lively. that aside, my steak was cooked to perfection and despite how busy it was, they still managed to pull off a decent service. the attempts at revitalizing some of the old classic cocktails weren't half bad for a steakhouse, either.

Stopped in for a quick bite. The bread was delicious, the shrimp, which were a great size, as well as the, oysters, were delicious. Our server Rene was excellent and recommended the drinks we had, which were espresso martinis! Excellent service, we will be back! Thanks for the wonderful experience!
This restaurant offers a perfect combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful ambiance. This is how they have built and upheld their reputation. Every detail is impeccable. Thank you to Gibson's, and a special shoutout to Richard, our waiter.
Terrible experience, ruined an otherwise good steak. Impersonation service, was rushed through the evening. Had to throw up halfway through the meal. The chefs ought to go back to school, probably not culinary school. They should be employable at McDonald's.
Upscale steakhouse. Delicious food, prepared very well. All staff friendly and welcoming/professional. Would highly recommend this location.

Fish, perfect. Vegetables, good. Steak, had to cut the burn off the outsides, could only taste an overpowering burn taste. Shame.
A must when in Chicago. Our server Matthew (with two Ts) and team was awesome. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.
