BEST JAMAICAN FOOD I'VE HAD IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA! Over the course of two days, I sampled several dishes, and everything was AMAZING. The curry goat was spot on, while the jerk chicken was juicy and tasted exactly like authentic jerk chicken. Although the meat was a bit fresh, once the sauce was added, it transformed into something spectacular. The ackee and saltfish paired perfectly with plain rice. Their fritters and dumplings were a solid 5/5, and the cornmeal porridge was a remarkable 100/10. Gordon Spice is definitely worth every penny! As a customer and a foodie, I'm 100% satisfied.
Horrible customer service. My car is in the shop and I was looking to place an Uber eats delivery order. I called into the restaurant to ask if the chicken was fried for the jerk chicken dish. The lady who answered the phone was very rude and told me she “didn’t have time to answer that I could come into the restaurant to ask questions.” Then I stated, all I need to know is if the chicken is friend or not and she kept repeating “I have customers.” She literally could’ve answered the question 50 times at that point, being that it was just a yes or no response. Disappointing.
The food here is amazing, I especially love the made order escovich fish, they also have great macaroni and cheese. The fried chicken is amazing, you have to try it. The service is fast and friendly and the place is always clean. The bathroom is immaculate. They also make amazing desserts from scratch. Upside down paddle cake is amazing. My group and I love to dine in. Especially. It's quiet, great vibe music is always nice, and it's always clean. A real authentic Jamaican experience.
I absolutely love the food—it's definitely a 5-star experience! However, I'm not sure if there's a new owner or what, but they frequently close before the hours advertised on their website. I live an hour away, and when I visited, they didn't have rice and peas. I can easily make plain white rice at home. Although they state that they're open until 11 PM, they often close by 8 PM. On the bright side, they truly offer the best, most authentic food around!

I usually order fried chicken with oxtail gravy, rice and peas, and cabbage, but today I tried the Barbie fried chicken. It was amazing! I wanted to call and let them know, but I couldn’t stop eating! I wish I had taken a picture, but I was just too excited. Plus, I’m stuffed and still have more than half of my large portion left. God is good all the time! Alright, I'm done!
I absolutely love Gordon's Spice! In my opinion, it's the best Jamaican food in Dekalb County, especially when compared to other Jamaican restaurants that people often praise. I have a deep appreciation for authentic Jamaican cuisine since it's part of my culture. The curry seasoning and jerk chicken egg rolls are a must-try. Give them a shot—you won't be disappointed!
U know the food is good when you get to locking your fingers, which I hate, but I be enjoying myself while eating the food from this spot. My real favorite is the sides. I’m a vegetable fanatic, and the greens have the right amount of heat. Mmm hmm, just thinking about this spot, I’m about to head there now while I’m worked up..Parking: The parking lot is tiny..
I should have realized that this place was going to be disappointing based on the 81 health score. I went in to quickly grab a curry chicken patty and coco bread. The bread had been microwaved and was dry and hard from being overcooked.

Great place I got something real light cuz I wanted something different. I'll have to go back again for a full all out meal. I look forward to coming back and checking it out and offering another review.
