I visited this with the grandchildren and family recently and was pleasantly surprised. It's in quite a rural location so a car is needed to visit, but the parking facilities are large although it fills up pretty quickly and there aren't many disabled spaces. The cafe/restaurant isn't particularly cheap and the service was a bit on the slow side (it wasn't hugely busy when we were there, so maybe they were just short staffed ? There is a huge range of animals (farm types such as hens, geese, sheep, cows, donkeys, turkeys etc as well as alpacas, emus, pheasants various small birds and reptiles. It's a nice experience. The cafe/restaurant serves lovely teas and lunches. The farm shop has a good range of produce. There is a little garden centre/nursery. The farm is worth a visit with kids. There is a place where kids can make their own teddy bear. The crazy golf in a barn looks fun. There is a newish lazer quest sort of thing. The country sports shop is well stocked for fishing and shooting. Northern Archery is a great place to shoot bows, buy equipment or talk archery. It's also very close to the Lancaster canal, so there are beautiful places to walk and enjoy the countryside. Highly recommended, but check it out online to be sure you know what you want to do.
We absolutely love coming here, we have annual passes which are £50 each , definitely worth it if your local. Visiting as one time visit can be a but pricy but the farm has so.much 1:1 interactions with animals and the staff are amazing and accommodating. There park and giant bouncing pillow is a must for.my kids. They do about 8-10 1:1 interactions each day and lots.of animal handling. We will be renewing our passes as we feel.part of the family here and they know us so well. Definitely worth a visit if your not local and worth the passes if your local. Passes also get your discounts on the events they hold.
Sadly and no offence intended but the electric car charger wasn't working and one not available the cafe bistro wasn't open and fenced off so we left without checking out the many other empty looking buildings
What a interesting little area , kids farm, crazy golf , laser tag,kids animal farm , bistro, farm shop! Great place ! Take a look definitely worth the while
Nice outside farm. If you want to go to the soft play area, you have to pay separately. A little bit expensive.
Not as dog friendly as the web site make out, if you have a dog don't bother going.
