On the way to Calais, we thought to eat at the Courtpaille Grill. Quickly learned that quality food should not be served here, the service was absolutely beautiful! Our waitress seemed to lead the place when he crashed and greeted everyone at the door while the cook and other staff took a long break. She served us, cooked for us and did everything in between. I visited this industry twice, just a week apart. The experience was consistent for both visits. The first time I ordered the Super Haché and the kiss was exactly what I asked for Saignant. In retrospect, this was probably not the right choice and... probably a point would have been better. But I got what I wanted and it was delicious! The second visit I ordered the Côte de Boef, and again the Cuisson was absolutely spot and the steak was amazing. Both times the accompaniments were hot, freshly cooked and very tasty. On arrival we were greeted by a surly waitress with a bad attitude. I speak French, but the waitress took our order with minimum options so all the meals came with chips. Because naturally, everyone English only ever eats chips, right?? I noted French families...had options and also a bottle of water for the table which we didn't get either. Visited on Saturday 30th June with my wife on our way on holiday . Ordered the L’ASSIETTE Du Grillardin to share at €39 two steaks were superb but the Faux Filet was gristle and inedible fat. I showed it to the waitress who took my...complaint to the manager she then returned to say that is how that is and nothing could be done about it. Poor customer service in my view which split an otherwise lovely meal. I have been using the Courtepaille chain for many years and this is the only time I had need to complain. Customer service could really benefit from being reviewed at this particular branch.

We were staying at the nearby Ace hotel and chose the out of the two restaurants, the other restaurant was a fish restaurant. We were allowed to take our dog into the dining room and they kindly brought him a dish of water. We just...had the steak hache which was excellent and cooked in the open range just in front of us. The steaks and sausages looked pretty good as well. Good beer was on tap and the service was swift and food delivered with a smile. We got a discount as we were staying at the Ace Hotel and it was a nice way to finish off our day of travelling.
Stopped for lunch on our way to Reims. It was a Sunday and appeared to be packed with a lot of local people, which was a good sign for a motorway stop.We both had steak which was fabulous along with the French fries and salad. Excellent and very reasonably priced.
Was able to have only one meal here but it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Very genial manager and friendly staff. Extensive food and drinks menu. Reasonably priced. Great setting- I ate in the covered terrace.
I came pretty late for a quick dinner. I was very welcome; Service was excellent, and my order arrived immediately. It was the best experience I ever had at a courtepaille, and I highly recommend the place.

We visted this restaurant when staying at the Ace hotel nearby. The menu was varied and the food, local wine and service were ok and prices reasonable.
Not very friendly. The meat was good but there was nothing else on the plate. Think you can get more out of your money
